American cyclist battles through crash to secure podium finish

12-time World Champion shows resilience and determination in Tokyo

American professional cyclist ChloƩ Dygert has secured the bronze medal in the women's individual time trial at the Tokyo Olympics, overcoming an early crash to finish on the podium. Dygert, a 5-time World Champion in the event, faced a setback when she crashed shortly after the start of the race.

Despite the setback, Dygert displayed incredible resilience and determination, managing to catch up to the lead group and ultimately finish in third place. Her time of 31:04.32 was just 1.06 seconds behind gold medalist Annemiek van Vleuten of the Netherlands. Australian Grace Brown took the silver medal with a time of 30:13.49.

Dygert's bronze medal is the second for Team USA in cycling at the Tokyo Olympics. Earlier in the week, Jennifer Valente won the gold medal in the women's omnium event. Dygert's performance is a testament to her incredible talent, determination, and unwavering spirit.
