Honda Updates Africa Twin for 2023
CRF1100L receives minor upgrades to engine and suspension
Affordable, reliable, and adventure-ready
Honda's CRF1100L Africa Twin has received a minor update for 2023, with the adventure bike gaining a revised engine and suspension setup.
The 1,084cc parallel-twin engine has been retuned to deliver more power and torque, with peak figures now standing at 101bhp and 77.5lb-ft. The changes include a new intake camshaft, revised valve timing, and a new exhaust system.
The suspension has also been revised, with new settings for the Showa 45mm USD forks and Showa rear shock. The changes are designed to improve the bike's handling and stability, both on and off-road.
Other changes for 2023 include a new 6.5-inch TFT display, which replaces the previous 5-inch unit. The new display is easier to read and offers a wider range of information. There's also a new USB-C charging port, which is located on the left-hand side of the bike.
The 2023 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin is available in two variants: the standard model and the Adventure Sports ES model. The Adventure Sports ES model comes with a longer-travel suspension, a larger fuel tank, and a more comfortable seat.
